Women's Tennis Bites Bulldogs 6-3

The University of Findlay women's tennis team earned their first victory of the season with a 6-3 win against Ferris State University on Sunday, Sept. 15 in Big Rapids, Mich. 

The victory gives the Oilers a 1-3 record on the season with the same mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

The Oilers won four out of the six singles matches and then claimed 2-of-3 doubles events for the win.

Tijana Raicevic, Matina Matic, Viktoriya Shkola and Lauren Jonathan each won their singles matches for Findlay.

Nina Djordjevic and Raicevic teamed to win their #1 doubles event and Matic and Jonathan teamed to win the #2 doubles match.

The Oilers will return to the court again on Friday, Sept. 20 when they host Ashland University at 3 p.m.
