Junior Shoayb Bascal and senior Raven Clay of The University of Findlay men's and women's outdoor track and field teams were both named the GLIAC Track Athlete of the Week as the league office announced their weekly honors on Wednesday, April 18.
Bascal finished third in the 10,000-meter run at the Sea Ray Relays in Knoxville, Tenn., finishing with a NCAA provisional qualifying time of 30:36.50. The mark was also good enough to establish a new school record.
Clay placed second in the 100-meter hurdles at the Sea Ray Relays with a NCAA provisional qualifying time of 13.36. She also finished 16th in the 200-meter dash at the event after crossing the finish line in 24.90.
