The University of Findlay volleyball team extended their win streak to five games as they defeated Michigan Tech University 3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-21) on Friday, Oct. 2 to improve to 11-3 on the season and 5-1 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).
Three Oilers eclipsed the double digit kill mark in the match. They were led by junior Hannah Tong with 17 kills and two blocks. Freshman Amanda Winner added 11 kills with four digs. Sophomore Nickyla Garverick had 10 kills, while hitting .500 in the match. She also had four blocks.
The Oilers return to action on Saturday, Oct. 3 as they host Northern Michigan in Croy Gymnasium. The match is scheduled to begin at 4pm.
