Tong Named D2CCA Midwest Region Player of the Year

Senior Hannah Tong, an outside hitter on the Oilers volleyball team, was named the 2016 D2CCA Midwest Region Player of the Year on Nov. 29.

Tong, who was voted the 2016 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Attacker of the Year, has racked up 465 kills and 4.19 kills per set for Findlay during her final season with the program. She is also hitting .301 to go along with 66 total blocks.

The Carey, Ohio native has been named a NCAA Division II All-American twice (2014, 2015) and is a three-time, first team all-conference pick (2014, 2015, 2016). She was tabbed the 2014 GLIAC Attacker of the Year and has been named first team all-region three times (2014, 2015, 2016).
