The University of Findlay volleyball team continued their win streak today, September 12 in their first home match against Hillsdale College. Their 3-2 (25-20, 26-24, 19-25, 27-29, 16-14) win over the Chargers gives the Oilers an 8-0 record on the season, and starts them off 1-0 in Greater Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play.
Junior Amanda Winner led the Oilers with a double-double recording 21 kills and 11 digs. Sophomore Izzy Murphy added 17 kills, while sophomore Shelby Kin and sophomore Molly Hammersmith each recorded 7.
Junior Hailee Olson contributed to the big win with 50 assists, along with 4 kills and 6 digs.
Junior Kara Scherger led the team defensively with 26 digs, the eighth-best single match total in school history. She also had 4 assists and a team-high 3 aces in the win. Senior Megan Wendel also recorded 13 digs for Findlay.
