The University of Findlay volleyball team defeated Malone University 3-1 (29-27, 26-28, 25-17, 25-23) today, October 20, in Canton, Ohio. This will bring Findlay's season record to 19-4 and their conference record to 10-1.
Junior Amanda Winner led the Oilers offensively by hitting .310 and recording 27 kills, which is the seventh best single match total in school history. Sophomore Molly Hammersmith hit .350 and recorded 18 kills. Senior Erika Roach contributed seven kills in the win, while sophomores Izzy Murphy and Shelby Kin added six kills each.
57 assists and 13 digs were recorded by junior Hailee Olson.
The Oilers will be back in action October 21 at 2:00pm where they will play Walsh University at their place in North Canton, Ohio.
