Findlay Enters 11th Annual Crossover as G-MAC's No. 2 Seed


Findlay, Ohio – The University of Findlay volleyball team is set to travel to Indianapolis, Indiana this weekend for the 11th Annual Midwest Region Volleyball Crossover. The event will take place on Oct. 12-13 and will feature 57 matches that take place on the ten courts at the Academy Volleyball Club in Indianapolis. The regional volleyball event will feature 38 NCAA DII Midwest region programs, including 14 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC), 12 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC), and 12 Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) volleyball programs that will represent their respective conferences. There are nine teams participating that are either ranked in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top-25 or are receiving votes including a pair of teams in the top ten.

Findlay enters the event as the number two seed out of the G-MAC and will kick off its Crossover slate at 11:30 am on Friday with the number one team out of the GLIAC, ranked no. 5 in the country, Ferris State. The Oilers will then take on GLIAC's number six team, Davenport on Friday night at 5:30 pm. On Saturday, Findlay plays just one match, a 1:00 pm start against GLVC's number three team, Illinois-Springfield.

The Oilers have a combined record of 18-13 in the history of the Crossover and have finished a perfect 3-0 twice. Last season, Findlay, which entered as the G-MAC's number one team, was 1-2 at the event after a pair of losses on the first day, including to the top team in the nation, Lewis.
