Troy is in his first year as a graduate assistant coach for the Findlay baseball program in 2018-19.

A four-year starter for the Oilers from 2015-18, Merriman played in 158 games in his career and finished with 105 hits. He scored 47 runs and drove in 45 RBI as Findlay's everyday third baseman.

Troy is a native of Grandville, Michigan.
