Findlay, Ohio – On Tuesday, Dec. 10, the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) announced the Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week for the first time in the 2019-20 season. After competing in her first-ever collegiate meet, freshman Morgan England has earned Field Athlete of the Week honors.
Participating in the pole vault at this past weekend's UF Oiler Opener, England, a native of Bloomville, Ohio, reached a height of 3.84m (12-7.25) which puts her in the top ten all-time in G-MAC history. Her mark also met the NCAA provisional in the event and set a new University of Findlay record. In fact, England was one of three vaulters to meet the provisional height in the event while she and fellow freshman Lindsey Kluesener both eclipsed the school record.
Although it is early in the season, England's mark of 3.84m is currently fourth in the country.
